Patricia Phillips' journey with education began over two decades ago. In 2000, Mrs. Pat started her career as a middle school custodian in Giles County, where she first discovered her passion for maintaining clean, welcoming learning spaces. Life, however, had other plans in store.

For the next several years, Mrs. Pat ventured down different paths, working in office management, fueling aircraft, and even driving trucks over the road alongside her husband. While these experiences were valuable, Mrs. Pat found herself missing the school environment and the meaningful work it offered. When an opportunity to rejoin a school family opened at Talbott Elementary in 2022, Mrs. Pat didn't hesitate.

Mrs. Pat's philosophy is simple yet powerful: "I believe a clean environment is a good learning environment." This belief isn't just something she says, it's evident in everything she does.

Every day, Mrs. Pat takes care of the main office, classrooms, and student bathrooms with meticulous attention to detail. But she doesn't stop at what's expected of her. She consistently goes the extra mile, handling the little things that often go unnoticed but make a real difference in our school community.

When asked what she enjoys most about working in our district, Mrs. Pat's answer reveals what truly matters to her: "The school I work for is a small school. I love the principal, the teachers, and all the staff. They are my family. Most of all, I love the students like they are my own."

When Mrs. Pat isn't keeping Talbott Elementary sparkling, you'll likely find her enjoying the simple pleasures of life. She loves spending time with her husband out on the lake or relaxing on their back porch, soaking in the peaceful lakeside views. She treasures moments with her mom, siblings, and sons, and finds special joy in her role as a grandmother.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Pat has even more to celebrate, she's looking forward to becoming a great grandma in June!

Thank you, Mrs. Pat, for bringing your dedication, warmth, and heart to Talbott Elementary. The Wildcat Family is better because you're here!
