I was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky and graduated from Pikeville College in Pikeville, KY with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. I spent many childhood summers on Douglas Lake and felt like I came home after permanently moving to TN in 2004. Shortly after the move, I felt led to enter the world of education. I graduated with my master’s degree and education specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. I was blessed to teach 2nd and 4th grade in Hamblen County. I came to Jefferson County as an Instructional Coach at New Market Elementary School in 2014. In 2017 I was named the Principal at Talbott Elementary School.

I love spending time with my husband, Sam, and daughter, Leighton. I enjoy gardening with my dad, being out on the lake, reading, playing board games, and playing ball with our little doxie-poo, Reesie.

Being at Talbott Elementary School has been one of my greatest blessings in education. I hope each student under my care always knows and remembers just how special and loved they are here at Talbott!
